Cosmo’s online writing style is slightly different to the magazine. Although the sections are very similar, if not the same, the way the articles are laid out is completely different.
The articles are less image heavy and although they still incorporate the relaxed colloquial language, but still in a different style. The articles are a lot shorted and structured more like a news story with feature content, rather than large feature articles.
I plan to write a feature in the online style for the beauty section about the do’s and don’ts of waxing for the summer. I have already discussed this feature in the previous post about beauty features. Having decided on two beauty features, I thought it would help show how I can translate my writing style between print and online features therefore this beauty feature will be written with the mind of it being published on Cosmo's website.
